- Miss Julia Van Pelt has received word of the death at Detroit of Mrs Lulu Maybee Johnson, 63, a native of Lacota and wife of the former Lacota physician Dr. George Johnson
Mrs Johnson was born in Lacota Oct 18, 1879, the youngest of seven children of John and Jane Maybee. She was married to Dr. George Johnson in October, 1899. Her husband at that time practiced in Lacota
Dr and Mrs Johnson left here in 1908 going to Washington state. Later they moved back to Detroit and there in 1929 Dr Johnson died.
Surviving Mrs Johnson are a son, Cyril, and two grandchildren in Chicago; also a brother, Louis Maybee, of Washington, D.C.
Mrs Johnson was laid to rest in Grace Lawn cemetery, Detroit, at the side of her husband
