- Funeral services for Charles Maybee, former Dansville resident, prominent in musical circles in this area over twenty years ago, were held in Rochester on Tuesday and burial was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery in that city. Mr. Maybee, employed in the former Morey Nursery office and the office of the Blum Shoe Mfg. Co., here, took a very active part in vocal and instrumental music activities while in this village. A member of the Jenks orchestra, he played clarinet with the musical organization on many occasions, he was tenor soloist at the Presbyterian Church and took part in numerous home talent stage productions. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maude Griffen Maybee; 3 daughters, Mrs. Philip Knapp, Mrs. Harold Palee and Miss Norma Maybee; one son, Griffen Maybee and two grandchildren
