- Mrs. Stella Mabie, 87, of 48 McNutt Ave, Stop 88, Albany-Schenectady Rd., a descendant of Jacob Ingalls, who settled in the town of Westerlo around 1871, died yesterday in Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Mabie was born in Westerlo, where she lived until four years ago when she moved to Colonie. She is the widow of Orville Mabie, whose direct ancestor Jan Mabie, early Dutch patroon, settled near Herkimer in the early 1600s.
She is survived by a son, Leon Mabie, and a daughter, Merritt Mabie, with whom she lived, and a sister. Mrs. Florence Rugg of Westerlo.
The funeral will take place at 8 p. m. tomorrow at the Norton Hill Methodist Church, where the Rev. Donald Keith will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Cemetery, Greenville.

Born in Oakhill, Mr Maritt was a member of the South Glen Falls Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife Alma Mabie.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Clark Funeral home, 136 Main St., South Glen Falls. Rev. Clayton Burgess, pastor of the United Methodist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in the family plot of Southside Cemetery, Moreau.
