- Mrs Carrie Adela Bartholomew, 78, widow of J. Herbert Bartholomew, and pioneer of Vancouver, died here Thursday.
An early resident of Fairview and West Point Grey districts, Mrs Bartholomew came here 55 years ago and was a member of the West Point Grey United Church. She was born in Simcoe County, Ontario in 1867, and would have celebrated her seventy-eighth birthday next week.
Surviving is one sister, Mrs Emma Robertson, of Fenwick, Ontario. Funeral services will be held Saturday in Mount Pleasant Undertaking C. Chapel, with Rev James Evans officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
