- Mrs. Phyllis B. Mabie, 42, died at 9:20 p.m. Friday at her home, four miles south of Syracuse, of carcinoma after an illness of two years. Born April 21, 1906, near Syracuse, the daughter of Samuel and Ann Strieby Miller, she married at Syracuse March 20, 1923. She has lived in the Syracuse vicinity all her life and was a member of the Trinity E.U.B. church, at Syracuse. Surviving are her husband; a son, Arthur, 15; a daughter, Sally 7; the mother, Anna Miller, Syracuse; and five brothers, Earl Miller, of Syracuse, Charles and George of Mishawaka, Rutherford, of near LaPorte, and Oliver, address unknown. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity E.U.B. church, Syracuse, with the pastor, Rev. Robert Cox, officiating. Burial will be made in the Syracuse cemetery.
