  	He was born Feb 28, 1881 in Smith Creek and was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired employee of the Earl Smith Trucking Company. Mr Mabee married Caroline M Crull Oct 20, 1906. He is survived by his widow; a son, Loren E Mabee, Port Huron and two sisters, Mrs Hazel McIntosh, Detroit, and Mrs Ethel Russell, Armada; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, conducted by Rev Gaylord H Brunnell, assistant pastor of First United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.
