  	Margaret Batz of Bellvale, a home maker and life time resident of the area, died Saturday, August 5, 2000, in the Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. She was 91. The Daughter of the late John and Margaret Predmore Mabee, she was born August 15, 1908, in Pine Island. She was the widow of Fred G. Batz, Sr. Mrs. Batz was a member of the Bellvale United Methodist Church; and Warwick Senior Citizens. Survivors include two sons Fred Batz and his wife, Jean and Michael John Batz and his wife, Fran; seven grandchildren, Michele, Michael, Margaret, Vicki, Kaye, William and Fred; 14 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Robert Batz. ... Internment will be in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.

  	Fred Batz, 76, of Warwick, passed away on April 4, 2005 in St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick. Born on May 7, 1928 in New Milford, N.Y., he was the son of Fred and Margaret Mabee Batz. Mr. Batz was a member of the Bellvale United Methodist Church. He was a 55-year member and past president and Captain of The Raymond Hose Co. of the Warwick Fire Dept. and 2nd Lt. of the Warwick Fire Police. He served for 49 years on the Warwick Ambulance Corp. He was past president of the Town of Warwick Republican Committee and served as Town Councilman for the Town of Warwick for seven years. In 1979, he was named citizen of the year by the Warwick Jaycees. He was a US Army Air Corp. Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Quackenbush Batz; daughters, Margaret Blasko and husband Mike, Vivki Fulmer and husband Denny and Kaye Mikovits and husband Mike; sons, William Batz and wife Sue and Fred Batz III; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; his brother Michael John Batz and his wife Fran; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 8 at the Lazear-Smith and Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot in Warwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Warwick Ambulance Corp. of the Bellvale Methodist Church.
