- Marjory "Mardy" Peterson (nee Maybee) was born in Vancouver, BC on December 18, 1921 and passed away peacefully on December 7, 2002, just short of her 81st birthday. The world has been gifted with a very special angel. Mardy had a great passion for all things beautiful, both natural and man made. She possessed a magic sense of humour and a smile that could brighten anyone's day. Predeceased by her mom Ella May; dad Orrin Albert; husband LaMar "Pete" and her sisters, Nettie, Muriel, Evelyn and Altha. Mardy will always be alive in the happy memories of her sister Grace; son Dave (Colleen);daughter Marla; grandchildren Keith and Jascine and her many nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no memorial service at Mardy's request. Our heartfelt thanks to all who made her journey peaceful and comfortable, particularly the incredible staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Vancouver General Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined, friends so wishing may make a memorial contribution to the Family Network for Deaf Children, PO Box 50075, South Slope RPO, Burnaby, BC, V5J 5G3.
