  	John Wetherby was born 23 Aug 1796 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He settled in Wirt in 1826, coming from Vermont. John was a farmer. He served in the War of 1812. John married Lucinda Maybee. They resided in Wellsville. The widow later resided in West Clarksville. John was the son of Michael Wetherby.
