- Freeman H. Mabee, son of Oliver D. and Susan Mabee was born at Goshen,,Ontario, Canada on May 18, 1865. He came to Clinton Co., Iowa in 1871 with his parents, and to Turner Co. in i878 and homesteaded. He farmed until 1912 when he moved to Parker and operated an implement and Dodge Automobile business. He married Adella Costain, daughter of Thomas B. and Hannah Costain. She was born in 1888 and passed away in 1895. They were the parents of five children: Jessie E. Mabee Fox, John T. Mabee, Harold Homer Mabee, Athol Keith Mabee, Adella Mabee Sturdevant, and Oliver D. Mabee, four of whom are living. John T. Mabee is deceased and Harold Homer was killed in France, November 2, 1918 in WWI. Freeman H Mabee died on August 6, 1922. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Baptist church. Athol Mabee was a world War I Veteran.

- Jack Mabee, 67, implement dealer here [Collins] for 12 years, died Thursday at 4:45 p. m. in Deaconess Hospital, Marshalltown, where he was taken that morning.
His wife Evelyn, survives, along with two sisters and two brothers. Mr Mabee was born in Parker, S. D.
Funeral will be at the Ryan Furneral Home, Nevada, Monday at 2 p. mp Burial will be in Collins Cemetery
Funeral services were held in the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, Oct. 185 at 2 P.M. for Jack Mabee. The Rev. Wilbert P. Gauer of Nevada Methodist Church officiated.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Norman Dobson, Nevada. Pallbearers were Henry Dodd, Lloyd Holland, Harold Hale, George Kimberley, Jack Stratton and Kenneth Tomlison. Mrs Clara Serbein was in charge of flowers.
John Thomas Mabee, son of Freeman and Della Mabee was born March 25, 1890 at Parker, S. D. And died at the age of 66. He spent his life in South Dakota in the automobile and implement business before coming to Collins in 1944 to engage in the implement business.
He was married to Evelyn Galbreath of Sioux Falls, S. D. Oct. 15, 1944. She survives along with two sisters, Mrs Della Sturtevant of Redwood City, Calif. And Mrs Jess Fox of Seattle, Wash. Also surviving are two brothers, Oliver Mabee of San Jose, Calif. and Althol Mabee of Sioux Falls, S. D.
He belonged to the Parker Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Burial was in Collins Evergreen Cemetery. Dr R. M. Shipman, Ames, was in charge of Masonic graveside rites.

- Orlando, Fla – Athol K. Mabee, 92, Orlando, Fla, a former South Dakota resident, died April 14, in Orlando.
Mr Mabee was born October 26, 1893, in Turner County. He married Helen Skinner July 3, 1921 in Parker. In 1950 they moved to Sioux Falls where Mr Mabee was employed with the John Deere Co. And Ford Motor Co. As a dealer for 24 years.
His wife died in 1979.
Mr Mabee moved to Orlando in 1980 and married Cleo Wainwright July 11, 1980. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2821, Parker, the Masons and Eastern Star Parker Lodge No. 30, and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Robert Wainwright, Little Rock, Ark.; a sister Jessie Fox, Seattle, and a niece, Jeri Skinner Teslow, Sioux Falls.
Services were in Orlando, with burial in Forest City, Fla.
