Anecdote |
- Chauncey Button married Emma Babcock Mabie when she was 17 yrs of age. From an early age she was deaf from scarlet fever. Chauncey courted her at the home of her Aunt Cole; her parents as well as a sister had died of consumption. He bought a farm on Bolivar Road near Chittenango, of 200 acres. It was there he brought his wife Emma as a bride. They raised hops, always had a pasture full of horses and had a dairy of registered cows. The farm was sold about 1956 to Morris and Gordon
