  Obituary	William E. Mabee, 66, Wabash, died at 2:21 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at the Marion Veteran's Hospital in Marion. He was born on Dec. 11, 1942, in Wabash, the son of William E. and Mary (Brown) Mabee. He was married to Tina Sult, who survives in Warsaw. A 1960 Wabash High School graduate, Mr. Mabee was a mechanic who worked at Kirtlan Automotive and Pries. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wabash, and formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus, Wabash. Survivors include a son, William J. (Rachelle) Mabee, Winona Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Tammy) King, Wabash; an aunt, Barbara Reed, Peru; two step-brothers, Darrell (Debbie) Benson, Wabash, and Mike (Deloris) Benson, Wabash; a step-sister, Mrs. Bill (Sharyle) Hapner, Wabash, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 207 N. Cass St. Father Sextus Don will officiate. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash. A Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

  	Mary Esther Mabee, 84, formerly of 122 Harrison Ave., died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Miller's Merry Manor East. She was born May 16, 1921, in Huntington County to Ira and Bessie (Davis) Snowberger. She married William E. Benson in 1942 and he died in 1963. She then married William E. Mabee in February of 1967 and he died Feb. 10, 1997. She was a member of the Wabash American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter, Sharyle (Bill) Hapner, Wabash; three sons, James M. (Deloris) Benson, Urbana, Darrell (Deb) Benson, Wabash, and William Buddy Mabee, Wabash; two sisters, Ruby Mead, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Helen Burke, Wabash; a brother, Ralph (Leona) Snowberger, St. George, Kan.; four granddaughters, Shelly (Carl) Bayliss, Wabash, Kelly (James) Hippensteel, Huntington, Wendy (Ron) Frazier, Wabash, and Tammy (Don) King, Wabash; four grandsons, William (Bev) Hapner, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Scott (Christy) Hapner, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Darren Benson, Wabash, and Willie (Shelly) Mabee, Winona Lake; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William Benson, who died in 1980, five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23.

  	Mrs. William E. Mabee, 39, of 471 Falls Avenue, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in the Wabash County Hospital following surgery there Friday. Mrs. Mabee, the former Mary Brown, was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Peru to William K. and Edna (Draving) Brown. She was married in 1939 to William E. Mabee of Wabash. The decedent was a member of the St. Bernard's church, Rosary Society, St. Anne's Study Club and the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are the husband, one son, William (Buddy) Mabee, at home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William K. Brown, Peru; two sisters, Mrs. Tudor Glassburn, Peru; and Mrs. Mildred McKinely, Railto, Calif.; and one brother, Edward Brown, Whittier, Calif. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Bernard's church. #Burial will be in the Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel of the Eddingfield Mortary after 7 p.m. Sunday. Rosary serices will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
