- Anita M. "Neet" (Mabee) Nardone, 84, of Saugus, died June 30, 2004, at the Peabody Glen Health Care Center in Peabody after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Pvt. Armundo Alfred Nardone, U.S. Army, who was killed in action during World War II. Born in Canada, raised in Halifax and Lynn, Mrs. Nardone was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Estella (Henniberry) Mabee. She moved to Saugus 60 years ago. She is survived by her longtime companion, Harry Libby of Saugus; two sons, Edward A. Nardone and his wife, Denise and William B. Nardone and his wife, Dorothy J., all of Saugus; four grandchildren, Tirzah Lea London, Shawn E. Nardone, Edward A. Nardone Jr., Jessica E. Nardone; one brother, William Mabee of Saugus; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mildred E. Hallahan, Benjamin Mabee and Ceryl Mabee. Her funeral was held July 3 from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home of Saugus, followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.

- Mildred E. (Mabee) Hallahan, 76, of Saugus, died May 27, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Melrose after a brief illness.
Born in Lynn and raised in Saugus, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Estella (Henniberry) Mabee. Mrs. Hallahan had lived in Saugus for 70 years. She had been a floor supervisor at Norelco Manufacturing in Lynn prior to her retirement and was a member of the Teamsters Union. She is survived by one son, Frank Hallahan of Englewood, Fla.; one daughter, Linda Ryan of Melrose and her fiance, John Galiano; one brother, William Mabee of Saugus; one sister, Anita Nardone of Saugus; three grandsons, a very special great-grandson and a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ben Mabee, Ceryl Mabee; and mother-in-law of the late Peggy Hallahan. Her funeral service was held June 2 from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home of Saugus, followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
