- Mrs William H. Mabee. The death of Mrs Doris E. Mabee occurred at the Grace Maternity Hospital Saturday 06 March 1948. She was 41 years old. born on Grand Manan Island N.B. She has lived in Fall River for the past 17 years. Surviving besides her husband William H. Mabee are five daughters, Edith, Mary, Ruth, Shirley, & Pasty, - one son Billy all of Fall River. The funeral will take place from her home this afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. A.E. Gabriel of Bedford officiating. Interment will be in Fall River Cemetery.

- William Howard (Bid) Mabee 68 of Holland Road Fletchers Lake died at his home Monday 13 April 1 970. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late William & Mary (MacLean) Mabee. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Surviving are his wife the former Frances Berggern. Five daughters, Edith - Mrs Lorne Paul of Greenwood, Mary - Mrs Aubrey Joudrey of Fletchers Lake, Ruth - Mrs George Best of Kensington PEI. , Shirley - Mrs Douglas Meisner of W1ndsor Jct., Patricia - Mrs Murry Weisshaar Thompson Man. One son William in Germany. Three sisters Florence Mrs James Milton, Lynn Mass, Charloite Mrs Fred Macdonald Fall River, Pearl Mrs Bert Leedham Clinton Connecticut. 24 grand children . the body is at R. D. Lindsay Funeral Home Bedford. Funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Saint Margarets of Scotlnd Anglican Church Rev. H.S. Corbin officiating. Interment in church cemetery.

- Edith Dorothy (Mabee) Paul passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2005, at the age of 75 years. Born in the former Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax, she was the oldest daughter of William Howard and Doris Estelle (Morse) Mabee. At age 17, her mother passed away and she quit work at Morris in Halifax to look after her youngest sister and brother. Five years later, she married Lorne Wilfred "Buddy" Paul. Lorne joined the RCAF and she joined him in Aylmer, Ont. They had two children and then went to Goose Bay, Labrador. She and their four sons joined Lorne in Torbay, NL; Halifax and Greenwood; Metz, France and Lahr, Germany, and back to Greenwood, where Lorne retired. They moved to Fletchers Lake where they made their home. Left to mourn are her sons, David Ross (Janet), Shubenacadie; Ronald, Halifax; Christopher John (Brenda), Fletchers Lake; Steven William (Lorraine), Stony Plain, Alta.; sisters, Ruth (George) Best, Prince Edward Island; Shirley (Doug) Meisner, Fall River; brother, Billy (Marry) Mabee, Lower Sackville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Lorne; sisters, Mary Joudrey and Patricia Weisshaar. Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held January 7 at 1:30 p.m. in Fall River Cemetery, Rev. Marion Conrad officiating. Friends and relatives are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the continued upkeep of the Fall River Cemetery. Simply Cremations and Funeral Services of Edmonton, Alta., in care of arrangements.

- Shirley Frances (Mabee) Meisner, 71, Fall River, passed away peacefully in the VG Site, 6B, QEII, on April 22, 2007, after a lengthy hospital stay over the past eight months. Born October 8, 1935, she was a daughter of the late William and Doris Mabee. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Douglas, and their children, Michael (Ann), Dale (Janice) and Paul (Mary); and her grandchildren, Curtis, Devan, Brendan, Jackson, and Ava; her sister, Ruth (George) and brother, William "Billy" (Mary). She was predeceased by her parents, William and Doris Mabee, and sisters, Edith, Mary and Patsy. Born in Fall River, she worked in the Civil Service for eight years, followed by years of service at Fall River establishments including George P. Vanier Junior High School, Secretary to the Trustee at Ash Lee Jefferson School, and then at Fall River Hydrostone Cleaners. She was a devoted member of St. Thomas Anglican Church in Fall River, serving as a choir member, Church Warden and Member of Council. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas Anglican Church, 3514 Highway No. 2, Fall River, Rev. Marian Conrad officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas's Anglican Cemetery with a reception to follow in the church hall. The family would like to thank all the VG Site 6B, QEII, doctors, nurses, social workers, dialysis unit and staff for all of the care and support provided to Shirley during her stay on the unit. Donations may be made to Dartmouth Stroke Club or St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Fall River.
