- Mrs Alice Mabee Douglass, of New York, a former Birmingham woman, died Friday at the residence of her daughter, Madame Roawl Chartintere, 2295 Montgomery Road, Cleveland, Ohio.
The body of Mrs Douglass will arrive in Birmingham Monday and will taken to the Elmwood Chapel, where funeral services will be held, burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs Douglass was prominent here and for many years was an active worker in church circles.
Her daughter, six sisters, Mrs Virginia M Clark, Mrs W J Thompson, Mrs N H Burt, Mrs C M Lauritzen, and Mrs Irene Gibson, of Chicago, and Mrs Dwight Stagg of Newark, NJ; and four brothers, Carl, Truman, Nagee, of Louisville, Ky, and Aaron, of Whittier, Calif, survive.

- James Aaron Mabee, a former resident of Birmingham and Nashville, died Wednesday at Long Beach, Calif, after an illness.
A native of Mount Eagle, Tenn, Mr Mabee had lived in California the last 33 years.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs Frankie Mabee. A son Charles Mabee, both of Long Beach; five sisters, Mrs W J Thompson, Mrs Cecelia Burt, Mrs V M Clark, Mrs Dwight Spragg, all of Birmingham, and Mrs C M Lauritzen, of Chicago; three brothers George Mabee, Hemet, California; J T Mabee, Chattanooga, Tenn, and Carl F Mabee, Mount Eagle, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at Long Beach.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Brown-Service, Norwood, with Rev David Higginbotham officiating and the graveside services will be at Mt Eagle, Tenn, Saturday. Interment at the Mt Eagle Cemetery

- Mrs Cecilia Nathurst Burt, 82, of 2829 Ave South, lifelong resident of Birmingham, died Sunday night, at the residence.
Mrs Burt was a member of St Mary's on the Highlands, Episcopal Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Meta N Hahn of Birmingham, two sons, H D Nathurst of Birmingham, and Hugh Lee Nathurst of Ft Myers, Fla; three sisters, Mrs W J Thompson and Mrs W A McLendon of Birmingham and Mrs C. M. Lauritzen of Chicago, and two brothers, George A Mabee of Hemet, Calif, and Carl S Mabee of Mount Eagle, Tenn.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at Elmwood Chapel, The Rev David Cady Wright officiating.
