Bill practiced medicine for over 30 years at the Akron Clinic, St Thomas, Akron City, and Akron General Hospitals, the latter for which he served as chief of medical staff at one time.
Bill and Sylvia loved boating and spent many days, kids in tow, on the east end of Lake Erie near the islands. They continued in this adventure until health made it difficult late in life. He also loved his family dearly, practicing medicine (missing it in retirement), visiting Florida in the winter months, watching the Buckeyes and Cavs play, and listening to John Denver and the Ohio State marching band.
