- Henry L. Birkholz, 71, died Tuesday at Long Prairie Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday AT Long Prairie Trinity Lutheran Church, with ev. Wilmer Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Springbrook Cemetery, Swanville.
Mr Birkholz was bortn April 21, 1910 in Woodworth,, N. D., to August and Augusta (Goter) Birkholz. He married Dorothy B. Mabie Sept. 15, 1934 in St Paul. He farmed in North Dakota, moving to South St. Paul at the age of 19. He was employed by Swift and Company until 1945, when he moved to Swanville, where he farmed. Since 1965, he has been a Long Prairie resident. He worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Leonard, Blaine; Alvin, Rapid City, S.D.; and David, Cottage Grove; one sister and one brother Mrs Ida Mulder, North Dakota; Fred, Long Pairie; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charlesd, Allen Lee and Kyle Birkholz, Steven abd Jeffrey Redmann
