- Henry Mabee died at his home at Greenwood Lake Saturday afternoon (Oct. 22), and was born at Macopin, NJ, May 31, 1856. Mr Mabee married Mary E. Conklin, and besides his wife is survived by the following children: Addie, wife of Charles Shelter of Port Jervis; Martin H. of Monroe; Nellie and Fred L., who lives at home; also two brothers, John of Wortendyke, NJ and William of Greenwood Lake. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at two o'clock at the Greenwood Lake Methodist Church, the Rev. Northrop officiating. Burial Greenwood Lake Cemetery.

- Warwick was shocked this morning to learn of the death of Fred L. Mabee, former Warwick resident, who has for the last year been employed at Kenvll, N J, in a defense plant.
Mr Mabee died in Dover General Hospital last evening from burns sustained about 8 o'clock that morning while at work in the plant. A plumber by trade. Mr Mabee was asked to fix a faulty valve in one of the rooms. The valve wouldn't close and caused an explosion, trapping him in the room and severely burning him. He was alone at the time and managed to walk out before collapsing. He regained consciousness at the hospital and was able to talk to his wife before passing away about 5 50.
Born at Greenwood Lake, May 20, 1901, a son of Henry Mabee and Mary Conklln, he lived most of his -life in this vicinity, and before going to Kenvil about a year ago, was employed by the W A Hulse Company for twenty-one years.
He is survived by his widow, the former Emily W Pilgrim, whom he married November 5, 1928, two sisters, Mrs Nellie Murtha of Pine Island and Mrs. Addle Shetler of Port Byron, N Y ; and one brother, Martin Mabee of Monroe, N Y
Funeral services will be held at the Smith Funeral Home, 1 Baker Avenue, Dover, N . J, on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery Friday morning at 11 30 o'clock

- Mrs Addie Shetler and Mr and Mrs Albert Shetler were called to Dover, N. J. last week Wednesday to attend the funeral of the former's brother. Fred Mabee. who met a tragic death by fire. He was employed by the Hercules Powder Co. in that city. He leaves his wife, two sisters and a brother. Funeral services were held Thursday with burial at Warwick. N. Y.
