- David Henry Mabie, Private USMC, 21, a native of Massachusetts, was admitted to the U. S. Naval Hospital Norfolk, May 7, 1884, after an epileptic fit. This is considered as existing prior to enlistment, He was sent to the Marine Barracks on June 20th for discharge from the Marine Corps on the recommendation of a Medical Board of Survey.
He then attempted enlistment in the U. S. Army on June 8, 1885 in Baltimore, Maryland and 7 September in New York City.
