"Bud" Anthony, longtime resident of Bandon whose body has been missing since a June 22 boating accident on the Coquille River bar. Services will be officiated by the Bandon Masonic Lodge #130 A.F. & A.M. Mr Anthony was born on April 26, 1918 at Miles City, Mont. He was 70 years old. He worked for Moore Mill & Lumber Co. for 45 years, retiring in 1981 as foreman, and also had a radio and television service for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Florence Sargent Anthony of Bandon; a son, G. Michael Anthony and his wife Sharon of Lake Oswego; a daughter, Allyson Anthony of San Francisco and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorena Eaton. Memorial contribution may be made to the American Heart Association or the organization of one's choice."

Mr. Anthony married Florence Sargent Oct., 26, 1939, at Bandon [sic]. He worked 45 years at the Moore Mill in Bandon, retiring in 1981, as foreman. He also had a radio and television repair service for 30 years. His many civic affiliations included past master of the Bandon Masonic Lodge 130 AF&AM and membership in Scottish Rites, York Rites and Hillah Shrine. He served as a scout master, chairman of the Bandon Library Board for many years and was president of the 20/30 Club when the Cranberry Festival was established. "Survivors include his wife, Florence Anthony of Bandon; son, G. Michael Anthon and his wife Sharon of Lake Oswego; daughter, Allyson Anthony of San Francisco, Calif.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Lorena Eaton. "Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice."
