- Clayton G. Mabey. 87. of Sidney. N. Y. died Saturday morning at The Hospital following a short illness. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Frederick North of White Plains and three grandchildren. A graduate of Colgate University, he was a former principal of Sidney High School, and for many years was a partner in the Wheeler & Mabey Real Estate and Insurance firm. Mr. Mabey was a member of Sidney Congregational Church, Sidney Masonic Lodge a former president of Sidney Library Board of Trustees and a life member of Sidney Chamber of Commerce. The body was removed to the C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel at Sidney where funeral service! will be conducted at 2 p. m. Tuesday by the Rev. Wallace E. Cedarleaf. pastor of Sidney Congregational Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday

- Mrs. Anna L. Mabey of 27 Riverside, a friend of many young people in their quests for education, died yesterday at The Hospital. Mrs. Mabey, 81, had been a patient in The Hospital for only a day.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frederick B. North, 9 Woodland Place, White Plains, and three grandsons, Richard, Jeffery, and John North
Mrs. Mabey was born in Pittsfield, Mass., the daughter of Frank and Myra Cogswell Smith. The family moved to Sidney more than 70 years ago and started the F. H. Smith Department Store, which was Sidney's leading store for many years.
In 1919, she was married to Clayton Mabey, who died in 1960. He was principal of the Sidney school.
Mrs. Mabey, a graduate of Cornell University, was interested in education. She personally had given scholarships to many students to many different colleges and had assisted other students in funds or equipment for school.
At present, she was supporting -an Indian girl in a school in Utah. She was in the midst of negotiations for some scholarships to Broome Tech. Last year, she gave five scholarships to Delhi Tech. She had received a Citation from Madame Chiang Kai-shek for her generosity in assisting the poor children in China
Mr. and Mrs. Mabey gave a large amount of money for the building of the Sidney Library.
She made possible, with funds, the nurse's station on the third floor at The Hospital. Two other rooms also were donated by them. She gave side tables for about twenty-four new beds at The Hospital.
Mrs. Mabey was interested in Camp Brace, the Opportunity Camp for Boys at Masonville, and had purchased equipment for a recreation room.
Mrs. Mabey was a member of t h e S i d n e y Congregational Church. She was a charter member of the Sidney Monday Club and the University Club.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the C. H. Landers Chapel here by the Rev. George E. Youngs of Vestal, former pastor of the Sidney Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
