  	Wallace C. Mabie, 78, of 183 Green Street, died in this city [Kingston] today. Funeral services will be held at A. Carr and Son Funeral Home, 1 Pearl Street, Saturday at 2:30 p. m. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p. m. Burial will be in Montrepose Cemetery, Surviving are his wife, the former Lillian Zimmerman; a son, Roger W. Mabie, Town of Esopus supervisor; two grandsons, Christopher M. and William H. Mabie, all of Port Ewen. Mr. Mabie was the oldest member in age and membership of Port Ewen Methodist Church and served as secretary of the official board for 38 years, and treasurer of the Sunday school for 45 years. He was treasurer of Port Ewen Fire Department for 42 years, and a member of Rondout Lodge 343, F & AM; Hope Lodge, Knights of Pythias, Port Ewen, and a charter member of Royal Lodge Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks. Mr. Mabie was affiliated with, the Kingston Steamboat Company from 1909 to 1917 and was cashier of the Railway Express Agency in Kingston from 1917 to 1953, when he retired
