She was residing at Republic Nursing and Rehab, Republic, Missouri. Gerry Sayers was born on July 28th, 1924. She was born at Strafford, Missouri to parents Floyd and Docia Sayers. Gerry also had one sister, Madlyn Lovelace. Gerry married Ray Maybee on June 1, 1947, in Yakima, Washington. They lived in Washington, California, and Illinois before settling down to raise their family in Greene County, Missouri. They were married 53 years before Ray passed away. Gerry was educated in Strafford, Missouri, and graduated from high school at Central High School in Springfield, Missouri. She also attended college and graduated from Draughn Business College, Springfield, Missouri. Gerry was an employee at Springfield City Utilities, and Gospel Publishing House. She was a homemaker and filled her time with her interests of gardening, sewing, quilting, and farming. She loved her family, church and church family, her community and neighbors, and most importantly Jesus. She loved singing hymns, reading her bible, or listening to ministers on her radio. Geraldean is survived by three daughters, Judith Wright and husband, Mitchell of Republic, MO, Sharon Hamilton of Albuquerque, NM, Cindy Hoffpair and husband, Kent of Republic; grandchildren, Brian Wright and wife, Charlotte, Melanie West, Eugene Hamilton and wife, Bonnie, Nathan Gilbert, Amber Hatcher and husband, Justin, and Jordan Gilbert; great -grandchildren, Jessica Divine and husband, Travis, Rachel Nayak and husband, Luke, Isaac Crockett and wife, Madison, Billie Wright, Bryce Hamilton, Autumn Hatcher and Aubrey Gilbert; great- great grandchildren; Bronc, Ellie Grace and Cole Divine and Leo Nayak.
