- Mr. and Mrs. Jacob C. Mabie, 21 Cottage street, observed their 18th wedding anniversary yesterday (January 18, 1941) at their home. They have one daughter, Geraldine, a senior at Poughkeepsie High school. Mrs. Mabie is the former Florence Houston. She and Mr. Mabie were married in the Church of the Nativity by the Rev. Augustin Asfaig.

- Jacob C Mabie, 71, of 17A Rhobella Drive, Town of Poughkeepsie, died Friday at St Francis Hospital.
He was retired from the Standard Gage Co, where he had been chief inspector, and was active in several organizations.
Mr Mabie was born Sept 25, 1898, in Rhinebeck, son of Edward and Augusta Stabbe Mabee.
He was married to the former Florence Marion Houston, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs Clyde (Geraldine) Lewis; two sisters, Miss Dena Mabie and Mrs William (Edna) Creighton; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr Mabie was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Church...
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Mulvey Funeral Home and at Holy Trinity Church, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

- Geraldine M Lewis, 88, a longtime resident of Red Hook, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.
For many years, Geraldine worked as a registered nurse throughout the Poughkeepsie area as well as Hudson River Psychiatric Center and Serenity Hill in Connecticut.
Geraldine was a communicant of St Christopher's Senior Citizens where she had been an officer, she was also a life member and past officer of the Croft Corners Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, the St Francis Hospital Nursing School Alumnae Association, a life member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Poughkeepsie.
Born on February 27, 1924, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jacob C and Florence M (Houston) Mabie.
Geraldine married Clyde O Lewis on November 11, 1944 in Poughkeepsie and he predeceased her on May 10, 1997.
She is survived by her loving family, including her children; Donna and her husband Don Argentina in Rhinebeck, John R Lewis of Bayhead, NJ, Michael T Lewis of Poughkeepsie, and M Patricia and her husband Phillip Tiernan of Kingston, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
