- Funeral services were being completed today at Fannin Funeral Home for Mrs Katherine J. Mabie, 77, who died yesterday at North Broward General Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs Mabie came here 16 years ago. She formerly made her home in Saddle River, NJ, and was a member of the Lutheran Church of that city.
Surviving is her husband, Roy W Mabie.

- Services for Roy W Mabie, former resident of Ridgewood, will be held tomorrow at Lutheran Cemetery here [Saddle River].
Mr Mabie died of a heart attack on June 29 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, where he was a salesman of basketware and other hand-woven goods. He was born in Ridgewood 63 years ago and lived there until 1939, when he moved to Florida.
He was a charter member of Lodge 1455, B.P.O. of Elks, a veteran of World War I, and had written and published books on a variety of subjects. He had made an extensive study of stereoscopic.
Only survivors were a nephew and niece, Warren Sturr of Bellaire, Tex, and Mrs Miriam Van Heest of Midland Park.
