  	Harold Shell, 40, resident of 997 North Seventh street, Colton, died Wednesday night in a San Bernardino hospital as the result of pneumonia. He was born in Colton, his father being the late Alfred Shell, contractor. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edith Shell, of Colton and by a brother, John, of Evanston, Ill. Mr. Shell graduated from Colton Union High school in 1921 and for six years attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He was considered a brilliant student and upon the completion of his academic career, was a member of the faculty as San Bernardino Valley Junior college serving as assistant in the science department. For two years he taught night school classes in San Bernardino High school. Funeral services, which are pending, are in charge of I. M. Knopsnyder & Son.
