As a child she went with her parents to Rock Island, Illinois, where she was united in marriage to Marion Jack of Rock Island, Illinois, in 1872. Seventy-four years ago they moved to Cimarron, Kansas, where they homesteaded. Their house was the third one built there. In 1880 they moved to Aspinwall, Nebraska, then a thriving steamboat town of 350. After the flood in 1881 they moved to Atchinson County, Missouri. Mr. Jack passed away there in July 1920. In 1921 Mrs. Jack came to Humboldt and made her home here until 1944 when she went to live with a daughter, Mrs. Lena Maybee, at Horton, Kansas. Six weeks ago she suffered a stroke.
