- Selah Maby, well-known resident of the Athens community, died at 9:30 a.m. today at home a half mile east of Athens. He had been seriously ill for the past several weeks.
Funeral arrangements and a complete obituary will be carried in Friday's edition of The News-Sentinel. The body rests at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home, Akron.
Final rites for Selah Maby will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Akron Methodist church with Rev. C. F. Fawns officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home, Akron, until 1 p.m. Saturday at which time it will be taken to the church to lie in state.
Mr. Maby died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at his home near Athens. He had been a resident of Fulton county for 66 years, coming here from Elmira, N.Y.
He was born in Elmira on Feb. 5, 1877, to Dubois and Emma Krause maby. He was married to Lessie Moore on May 9, 1903, at Akron. The Mabys celebrated their Golden
wedding anniversary last May. Mr. Maby was a member of the Akron Methodist chrch, the Modern Woodmen and was an active worker in the Fulton County Farm Bureau.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Ralph, New Bremen, Ohio, and George, Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Carpenter, Star City, and Mrs. Clyde Dougherty, Odon; seven grandchildren and a half-brother, Una Tucker, Rochester. Two sisters preceded in death

- Mrs. Lessie Maby, 74, died early this morning at her home one-half mile east of Athens.
She was born to Eldrige and Marinda Rowe Moore and in 1903 married Selah Maby who died in 1953. She was a member of the Akron Methodist church, the Omega club and the Sunshine Circle of Athens.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Star City, and Mrs. Thelma Daugherty, Odon, Ind.; two sons, George, of Rochester, and Ralph, of New Breman, O.
The body was taken to the Moyer-Haupert funeral home at Akron. Arrangement are incomplete.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lessie Maby, 74, Athens, who died on Thursday, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Akron Methodist church with the Rev. Claude Fawns officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert funeral home until 11 o'clock
