- Pierre Mabie, 76, died of a heart attack at his home here at 7:15 a. m. Thursday. He had been in poor health for several weeks but his death was unexpected.
The body was taken to the Pullen funeral home at Clinton. The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Waynesville Methodist church, the Rev. Keith Loveless officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery at Waynesville.
He was born Jan. 20, 1863, in New York, the son of Peter and Maria Louise Mabie. He married Miss Grace Plummer, Nov. 27, 1912.
Surviving are his widow; a niece, Mrs, Maude VanderWalker of Ottawa. He was a Waynesville resident about 20 years and a member of Waynesville Methodist church.
