- John F. Mabey John passed away peacefully the morning of Dec. 13, 2011. Loving husband of Carmen, adored father of Jennifer (Bill) Tucker, Edward (Paula) Mabey, Nancy (Bill) Herrmann, John (Karen) Mabey, Kathleen O'Brien, and the late Michael Mabey and Betty Ann McLaughlin. John is also survived by many relatives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, John became a Special Agent of the FBI, a career of which he was very proud. He worked in the FBI's New York office, Washington D.C. field office and the San Francisco office, from which he retired in 1977. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and basketball, but above all he was a fiercely loyal Giants fan. Their World Series win in 2010 was special to him. John will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. Private services were held on Dec. 19, 2011. Donations in his memory may be made to St. David of Wales, 5641 Esmond Ave., Richmond 94805.
