- Helen A. Mabey, 99, of Old State Road, Davenport, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Robinson Terrace in Stamford.
She was born July 12, 1901, in Davenport, the daughter of Fred and Olive Jean (Crandall) Hayes.
She married Fred C. Mabey on March 10, 1928, in Harpersfield Center. Fred predeceased her Feb. 4, 1961.
Helen had resided in Davenport for several years before moving to Robinson Terrace in 1978. She formerly lived in Jefferson, where she and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm for 23 years.
She was a member of the Davenport United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by nieces and nephews, Sheila Conlon of Queensbury, Victoria Agesta of Queensbury, Edward Berry of Walton, Carolyn Collins of Hobart, Bill Berry of Jefferson, Evelyn Meyer of Charlotteville, Paul Titus of Warnerville, Bessie Presky of Albany, Kenneth Titus of North Carolina and Rita Troost of Virginia; and also a sister-in-law, Alice Titus of Stamford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at the Hall Funeral Home, 142 W. Main St., Stamford, with the Rev. Olu Harding, pastor of the Davenport United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Jefferson.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening between 7 and 9 p.m. and on Saturday afternoon between 1 and 2 p.m., at which time the family will be in attendance.
