- William Mabye, a resident of Wokett, dropped dead this afternoon about 5:30 o'clock while mowing his lawn. He was around town as usual, and about 3 o'clock started home to mow his lawn. He was seen to fall by see of his neighbors, who summoned Dr. R. H. Walkins. Death was instant.
Mr. Maybe was about 54 years old. He leaves a wife, a son. Homer; a brother. George Maybe of Clyde, and
two sisters Ella Streeter of Rochester, and Eva of Port Bryon.

- W. Homer Mabye, 71, retired farmer, died unexpectedly Thursday .morning, Sept. 14, 1961, at his home on West Port Bay Road, RD 2. Wolcott. He had lived on this farm in the Town of Huron for 40 years.
Son of the late William and Eva Otis Mabye, he was born Feb. 2, 1890, at Wolcott. His wife. Jessie Mae Mabye, died Oct 16, 1958.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Abe Perechov of North Syracuse; a son, William George Mabye of Wolcott; and nine grandchildren.
A service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Robertson Funeral Home with burial in Huron Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Clyde Hurlbutt, pastor of the North Wolcott Methodist Church, officiated.
