- LeRoy Maybie, 52. a former resident of Walton, died at Fox Hospital, Oneonta, yesterday after an illness of a few hours. He was born in Prattsville, April 2, 1899. son of Charles and Grace (Smith) Maybie
Mr. Maybie was a salesman for the Drake Clothing Company of Oneonta. He made his home in Oneonta since 1935, previously living at Walton and Delhi.
On Dec. 31, 1938, he married the former Mellicent Utter, He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Oneonta, and the Oneonta Lions Club.
Surviving are his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maybie of Walton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Lyon Brothers Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harold C. Buckingham, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Oneonta, and the Rev Henry G. Lincoln, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Walton, will officiate. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.

- Funeral services were conducted at 3 p. m. yesterday at Lyon Brothers Funeral Chapel, Walton for Mrs. Grace S. Maybie, 82, who died Friday at the Wheeler Nursing Home in South Kortright.
The daughter of Frederick and Sara Rutenhowser Smith, Mrs. Maybie was born in Prattsville Sept. 9, 1875. She was married to Charles Maybie, who survives, May 19, 1897, in Prattsvllle.
Mrs. Maybie had lived in North Street, Walton, since 1920 before moving to South Kortright a short time ago. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband are one brother, Avery Smith of Prattsville; two nephews, and three grandnieces.
The Rev. Henry G. Lincoln, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiated at services. Burial was in Walton Cemetery.
