- Grant Ruedger was born 16 July 1910. On Aug 28, 1913, he was surrendered to the Iowa Children's Home Society. On Aug. 27, 1914, he was adopted by Clarence H. Mabie and Mabel A. Mabie of Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co, IA. Renamed Ray Vern Mabie, he lived in Mason City with the Mabies until he was about 10, when he ran away from home to live with a neighbor down the street.

- Clarence H. Mabie, 78, of 3567 Fon du Lac Road, died Saturday at St. Agnes Hospital, Fon du Lac.
He was born in Shell Rock, Iowa, on July 21, 1888 and was married in Mason City, Iowa on May 28, 1908 to Mabel Parker, who preceded him in death.
Mr Mabie farmed in Iowa and this Wisconsin area, and for a number of years had been service manager for Gibson Motor Co., Oskosh and then assisted at Hencal Motors, Fon du Lac.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond Mabie, in Arizona, and Gerald Mabie, Fon du Lac; one daughter Mrs. Bonnie Grebe, Oskosh; teo borthers, Ira Mabie, Laguna Hills, Calif., and Arthur Maybee, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister Mrs Ada Walker, South Edmondton, Alberta, Canada; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The son of Homer and Ella Sherman Mabie was born July 21, 1888 at Shell Rock, Iowa. He married Mable Parker May 28, 1908, in Mason City, Iowa. Mr Mabie farmed in Iowa for a number of years before moving to Wisconsin where he was service manager for Gibson Motor Co. In Oskosh, until retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Mabie, city, and Raymond Mabie, residing in Arizona; one daughter, Mrs Bonnie Grebe, Oskosh; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Ira of Lyugona Hills, Calif., and Arthur, Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Mrs Ada Walker, South Edmondton, Alberta, Canada. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Rev Martin K. Koelher officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery
