- George William Mabee, 51, of 62 West Side drive, a Schenectady realtor, died suddenly yesterday morning at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was born in and had lived in Schenectady until moving to Ballston Lake about three years ago.
Mabee was active in community affairs serving on the official board of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church of which he was a member and also assisting with projects including the fund drive for the Ballston Lake special deputy force.
During World war II he served in the .navy. He was also a member of the Schenectady Real Estate Board, the Elks club in Schenectady and the IOOF lodge at Burnt Hills. He had an office for real estate at 802 Eastern avenue, Schenectady.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Olive Young Mabee; a son, George E. Mabee; a daughter, Miss Marilyn Mabee; his mother, Mrs. Susie Schelby of Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. Irving Countermine of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at the Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home at 21 Midline road, Ballston Lake. Rev. H. Clayton Ackley. pastor of the Burnt Hills Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Park View cemetery in Schenectady. The funeral home will be open Sunday after 7 p.m.

- Susie A. Schelbv. of 102 Jay St., died, August 10, 1963, at Ellis Hospital. Schelby. She was the wife of the late William Schelby; mother of Mrs. C. Irving Countermine and the late George W. Mabee; sister of Mrs. Leo Stahl, Satie Winnie, and the late Melvln J. Winnie; also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from The Frederick H. Glock Funeral Chapel. The Chapel will be open Monday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Interment, Park View Cemetery
