- Sherman Mack Edward Maybee, of Alpena, died Jan. 22, 2007, at the age of 78, at his home.
He was born Aug. 5, 1928 in Compton, the son of Henry David and Melvina (Sims) Maybee. His parents preceded him in death, along with a daughter, six brothers, three sisters, one grandson, one granddaughter, and a great grandson.
He had served in the U.S. military and retired from Rogers Grain and Feed Store.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia (Tackett) Maybee of the home; a sister, Clithy Hammonds Ward of Berryville; four sons, Henry David Maybee and his wife Christina of Berryville, Dennis Edward Maybee of Green Forest, Virgil Dewayne Maybee and his wife Gail of Alpena, and Duard Mearle Maybee and his wife Donna of Cave Springs; two daughters, Beverly Ann Coleman of Green Forest and Brenda Evelyn Woodworth of Alpena; daughter-in-law Shelly Ruth Maybee of Green Forest; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of other family and friends, too numerous to count.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 25, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Jerry Scitern and Rev. Henry David Maybee officiating. Burial was in Plumlee Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Maybee, Justin Maybee, Dennis Whitaker II, Michael Maybee, Eddie Sean Coleman, Ivan Gilbert and Chris Drake. honorary pallbearers were Charlie Maybee, Doyle Madle, J.R. Maybee and Ray Faddis.

- Amie Pearl Maybee, age 87, died on Sunday, May 1 (2011) at the Hospice of the Hills House in Harrison. Mrs. Maybee was born near Alpena, on Nov. 28, 1923, the daughter of David Layfate and Wrinda Paul Sneed.
Amie Pearl Sneed married Garvin E. Maybee on Nov. 25, 1938, and they made their home in the Alpena area until his death on Aug. 21, 1990. Mrs. Maybee was a member of the Church of Christ and attended at Alpena. She loved to sing and play the guitar and accordian. She loved to cook for her family and was known for her brown beans, biscuits and fried chicken.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Virgie Hamm, Unice Widner, Joicy Wootan, Mildred Wootan, Vida Bailey and Mamie Graves and two brothers, Raymond and Arlis Sneed.
She is survived by two sons, Charlie Maybee and wife Barbara of Alpena and J.R. Maybee and wife Edna Kay of Alpena; daughter, Lucille Bailey and husband Ron of Alpena; grandchildren, Ricky and wife Dawn Johnson, Eddie Johnson, Kavan and wife Nicki Maybee, Amie and husband Brandon Frantz; step-grandchildren, Debbie Greenwood and Susan Burnett; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Johnson, Collin, Cora and Turner Frantz, Hesten and Hadley Maybee; step-great-grandchildren, Chris and Aaron Waldorp, Corine Terry and Tanner Crook; sisters-in-law, Clithy Hammons of Berryville and Pat Maybee of Alpena; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Alpena Church of Christ, with Bill Arnold and Jerry Goen speaking. Burial will be at Alpena Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be David Maybee, Frank Bailey, Terry Lee Hensen, Brent Smith, Kevin Roberts and Friday Swensen. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Frantz, Wendell Sneed, Buster Widner and the staff of Bristol Pointe and Hospice of the Hills.

- Clithy E. (Hammons) Ward, a resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born August 8, 1921 in Compton, Arkansas, a daughter of Henry David and Millie (Sims) Maybee. She departed this life Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Eureka Springs, at the age of 89. Clithy was a member of the Green Forest Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker and worked various jobs all over the United States including working for Tyson Foods in Green Forest for several years. She is survived by one sister-in-law, Pat Maybee of Alpena, AR; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a host of other family and friends. On September 11, 1939 Clithy was united in marriage with Virgil Hammons who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage with Morris Ward who also preceded her in death. Clithy was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Millie Maybee; seven brothers, Mearl, Milton, Loman, Garvin, Garland, Troy and Sherman Maybee; and three sisters, Marie Villines, Opal Kilgore and Blanche Binam. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Nelson's Green Forest Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Nelson's Green Forest Chapel with Brother Bill Burris officiating. Interment will follow in the Alpena Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.

- Justin "Jugg" Scott Maybee, Sr., age 32, of Green Forest, AR, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011 at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield, MO.
Justin was born on Aug. 22, 1979 in Eureka Springs, AR the son of Dewayne Maybee and Candy (Colburn) Cone. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mike Colburn and Sherman Maybee; and one brother, Brian Maybee.
Justin attended the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed being a father to his children and loved them very much, taking them camping and fishing often. His passions included 'souping up' lawn mowers and riding motorcycles. He was a mechanic and a comedian. He was an animal lover and especially loved dogs. He had a gift of being able to make everyone laugh. Justin was a very giving man who was said to have given the shirt off of his back even if it was all he had left.
Justin is survived by his father and step-mother, Dewayne and Gail Maybee; his mother and step-father, Candy (Colburn) and Donald Cone; as well as his two sons, Justin Scott Maybee, Jr. and Jonathan Caleb Maybee; and one daughter, Rebecka Cheyanne Maybee.
He is also survived by one brother, James Maybee; and two sisters, Amanda Doyer and husband Joe and Jennifer Maybee; his grandmothers, Pat Maybee, Mickey Colburn and Caroline Cone; his grandfather, Verbie Lemon; and the mother of his children, Rachel Maybee; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with David Maybee and David Shekels officiating.
Pallbearers are Mike Maybee, Edie Coleman, Ivan Gilbert, Jeran Nickols, Josh Hendrix and Scott McNair.
Interment is in Plumlee Cemetery

- Dennis E. Maybee, age 58 of Green Forest, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at his home. The son of Sherman Mack Edward Maybee and Patricia Mae (Tackett) Maybee was born August 29, 1955 in Harrison, Arkansas. Dennis had worked in maintenance at Tyson's. He was preceded in death by his father; a sister; and two nephews. Survivors are his children, Micheal Maybee and wife Renae of Harrison, Stacey Kemp and husband Brian and Johnny Maybee of Green Forest; his mother, Pat Maybee of Alpena; brothers, DeWayne Maybee of Alpena, David Maybee of Green Forest and Duard Maybee of Rogers; sisters, Beverly Coleman of Green Forest and Brenda Woodworth of Alpena; and four grandchildren, Emma Chaney, Micheala Chaney, Aubrey Drake, and Edward Maybee. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Graveside service will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Plumlee Cemetery with Rev. - Patricia Mae Maybee, of Green Forest, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Autumn Hill Nursing Home in Berryville. She was 87 years old.
The daughter of Warren Jess and Myrtle Elizabeth (DeWald) Tackett was born September 2, 1933 in Tulare, California.
Patricia was a devoted Tyson's employee for 39 years. She was a faithful member of the Osage Assembly of God Church. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved every minute she spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Maybee; her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Kathryn Maybee; and one son, Dennis Maybee.
Survivors include five children, Beverly Coleman, of Green Forest, David Maybee and wife, Teresa, of Berryville, Brenda Maybee, of West Virginia, Duane Maybee and wife, Gayle, of Alpena, and Duard Maybee and wife, Donna, of Cave Springs, AR; one sister, Janet Elmore, of Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Brother Gerry Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Plumlee Cemetery. Pallbearers are Michael Maybee, Sean Coleman, Michael Hudson, James Maybee, Patrick Scarborough, and James Stout.
