  	The death occurred Saturday morning of Jeremiah Francis, an old and respected resident of Burford township, in his 64th year. Mr. Francis, who had lived in this district over 40 years, had been ill for a short time. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Clara, at home and four sons, John at home, Jesse, Roy, and Jerry

  	The funeral of Jeremiah Francis was held Monday afternoon from his late residence near Harley with internment at Congregational cemetery, Burford. Dr. W. Lee officiated assisted by Rev. F. W. L. Brailey of Milgrove, a former pastor and friend of the family, and Rev. H. Godfrey of Burford. Born at Shrewsbury, England, coming to Canada at the age of 21, and residing in Burford township for the past 44 years, the deceased leaves to mourn his loss, his widow, four sons Perry E., Branford; Jesse F., Guelph, Roy, Woodbury, John A., at home, and one daughter, Clara, at home, also two brothers A. J. Swain, Burford, and W. J. Swain, Brantford, and two sisters, Mrs. Thos. Bee, Falkland, and Mrs Robert Henderson, Burford. The four sons acted as pallbearers
