Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lois R.; two sons, Jay, St. Petersburg, and Joseph, Niskayuna, N.Y.; two daughters, Kathleen Matern, Alplaus, N.Y., and Kimberly Abare, Schenectady; a stepdaughter, Lani Reed, St. Petersburg; his mother, Margaret Mabee, Syracuse; a sister, Myrna Dunay, Scotia, N.Y; a brother, Robert, Syracuse; and seven grandchildren. Gulfport Memorial Funeral Home.
