- William F. Mabee, 71, of Safety Harbor, died Sunday (March 27, 2005) at Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor. He was born in Natick, Mass., and came here in 1976 from Acton, Mass. He was an electronic engineer and retired in Massachusetts and locally retired in 1995 from Pinellas County where he worked in the Parks and the Solid Waste departments. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and later served in Germany and North Africa. He studied engineering at Northeastern University. Locally, he co-founded a halfway house for young men recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dunedin. He was an avid fisherman, and he played hockey in college. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two stepdaughters, Jierna Wheeler, Brandon, and Andrea Just, DeFuniak Springs; a stepson, Orin Shanks, Cincinnati; two brothers, John, Norway, Maine, and Michael, East Douglas, Mass.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. - John Francis Mabee, a lifelong Natick resident, died on June 17, 2009 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 50 years old.
Born in Natick, the son of John D. Mabee of Norway, ME & the late Mary A. (Messom) Mabee, John was raised in Natick, educated in the Natick Public School System, and a graduate of Natick High School. He served in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged. John was employed in the Maintenance Dept. at the South Middlesex Opportunity Council in Framingham. He was an avid sports fan and a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his father, John is survived by 2 sisters, Mary H. Reebe of Natick & Darlene M. Wagner of Lunenburg; 2 brothers, Dennis J. Mabee & William F. Mabee both of Natick, 2 nephews, Ronny B. Reebe, Jr. of Natick & Sandy Wagner of Lunenburg; 2 nieces, Michelle M. Woods & Brooke M. Woods both of Natick; 2 brothers-in-law, Ronny B. Reebe of Natick & Paul Wagner of Lunenburg; & his uncle, Michael Mabee of Douglas.
Relatives & friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service for John on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St. (at Natick Common). - John D. Mabee of Natick passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Eliot Center for Health & Rehabilitation of Natick. He was seventy-five years old.
Born in Natick on October 25, 1938, he was the son of the late William & Helen (Walsh) Mabee. John was raised in Natick and attended Natick Public Schools and recently lived at cedar gardens.
He was employed as a maintenance worker at the Wellesley Library for over thirty years and enjoyed watching the news, all sports especially baseball, football and NASCAR.
He was a hard worker, built his own home in Norway, Maine and loved spending time there.
John was the former husband of the late Mary (Messom) Mabee and a loving father of Darlene Wagner & her husband Paul of Lunenburg, Dennis Mabee of Natick, Mary Reebe & her husband Ronny, Sr. of Natick, William Mabee of Cameron, NC & the late John Mabee.
Cherished grandfather of Ronny Reebe, Jr & his wife Zoe of Deerfield, NH, Sandy Wagner of Lunenburg & Michelle Woods of Natick. Great grandfather of Brooke Woods. Brother of Michael Mabee of Douglas & the late Patricia Otero & William Mabee. Also survived by several nieces & nephews.
A Memorial service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Tuesday, April 29th at Noon
