- Eileen Jane Cummings Mabey Barker, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2004 in Bountiful, Utah. Jane was born August 2, 1920 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the daughter of Frank D. and Edith Cool Cummings. She grew up in Michigan and graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, IL. She met Dr. Robert B. Mabey while working at North Western University. They were married in 1942. After World War II they established their home on the east bench of Bountiful at the mouth of North Canyon. He passed away in 1980. She married Paul Barker in 1989. He preceded her in death. Jane was active in the Davis School District, serving as a PTA president twice. She also was a receptionist at South Davis Community Hospital, and volunteered as a Pink Lady. Jane loved to travel, and maintained a home for years in Manzanillo, Mexico. She enjoyed being outdoors and caring for the animals on North Canyon Ranch. She was a life long member of P.E.O. She is survived by her children: Robert D. Mabey (Pat), Bountiful; Gary R. Mabey (Susan), Tucson, AZ; Nancy Gourley (David), Bountiful; Janette Mabey, Ogden; Barbara Oliver (Ethan), Trabuco, CA; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and brother Leonard Cummings, Valpariso, IN. Preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E., where friends may call 9:45 - 10:45 prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery
