- In loving memory to a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, Ellsworth Mabey of Montville Township died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at St. Clare's Hospital / Denville. He was 69.
Born in Morristown, he was a lifelong resident of Montville Township.
He was a custodian for the Montville Board of Education for 13 years, retiring in 1998.
Prior to that, he was a materials handler at Norda Chemical in East Hanover for 24 years.
He served in the New Jersey Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Smith; his daughters, Diane Breslauer, Susan Woytas and her husband, Raymond, and Deborah Mabey; his grandchildren, Tyler and Evan Woytas; and Macy and Peyton Breslauer; his brothers, Luther and wife, Ann, and Alfred Mabey; his brother in law, Dick Smith and wife, Peggy; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Keri Memorial Funeral Home, 125 Main St., Lincoln Park on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover.

- Luther "Lou" Norman Mabey, 88, of Farmville, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Lou was born on July 30, 1934, to father Luther Mabey and mother Catherine Mabey. The oldest of three sons, he grew up in Lincoln Park. He enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan for his time of service. After getting married in 1959, he and his wife, Anna, lived in Montville. In 1969, they moved to Succasunna where he lived for 55 years. Lou was a loving husband to his wife Anna for 62 years. He was a kind man who was known for always doing the right thing and was a friend to all, helping whomever he was able. His easy spirit and warm smile endeared him to everyone who knew him. He enjoyed time spent with family, and friends, playing golf, and rooting for the NY Mets and NY Jets. Lou was a collector of chess sets. Lou was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Ellsworth Mabey. He is survived by his wife Anna; children Mark and his wife Sheila, and Cathy; grandson Brandon and his wife Holly; great-grandson Maddox. He is also survived by his brother Alfred, sister-in-law Gayle; brother-in-law Joseph; grand-pups Pixie and Calli, and many other loving family members. A visitation for Lou is planned for Thursday, September 15, from 5:30-7:30 pm and Friday, September 16, from 10:00-11:00 am with a service beginning at 11:00 am at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). All are invited to attend. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
