- Maxwell Maybee of 22 Second Street, Rochester New York died suddenly April 1st 1972. Father of Gary and Daniel Maybee, Mrs Grant (Diane) Stevens all of Lawtons, New York. Brother of Mrs Maxine Johnson of Niagara Falls, Mrs Evelyn Zeilinski, Roswell Maybee both of Rochester, New York, Harold Maybee of East Otto New York. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Rhoney Funeral Home, 5493 Hoover Rd, Sanborn, Tues at 1 pm with the Rev Laurence S Smith officiating, Interment will be in The Cattaraugus Indian Cemetery, Gowanda NY.

- Marilyn C. (Johnson) Joy, 68, of 92nd St., died Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at her residence, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Joy was born March 2, 1941 in Niagara Falls, the daughter of Maxine (Maybee) Johnson of Niagara Falls and the late Seymour Johnson. She formerly worked for the Sheraton Hotel in Henrietta and for DuBois Plastics in Avon. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Michael Joy of Rochester, NY, Robert Joy and Mark Joy, both of Niagara Falls; her lifelong companion, Rennie Plews and his children, Amy LaGace and Ronald Plews, both of Niagara Falls; four brothers, Dale Johnson of Sanborn, Dean Johnson of Salamanca, Ace Johnson and Peter Pembleton, both of Niagara Falls; six grandchildren, Mark, Cady and Acey Joy and Donnie, Darren and Alicia LaGace; two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Hailey; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10th at 11:00 AM at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Upper Mountain Road, Lewiston, with Rev. Walter Printup III officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery

- In a beautiful floral arrayed reception room of the Tuscarora Baptist parsonage, Mt. Hope road, Sanborn, Miss Maxlne Maybee, of Iroquois,N. Y.. became the bride of Seymour Johnson. Jr., of the Mt. Hope road, Lewiston. The setting was a profusion of Halley and Niagara gladioli, gypsophila, maiden's hair and Boston ferns.
Before the service, Hamilton Mt. Pleasant, pianist, rendered the Lohengrin Bridal chorus and Alma and Luella Johnson, sisters of the bridegroom sang Carrie Jacobs Bond's "I Love You Truly.*'
The bride, gowned In white mousseline de sole, entered on the arm of John Willard Gansworth. She wore white veil and lace gloves to match. The bride carried a bouquet of vari-colored sweet peas, gypsophila and ferns.
Elizabeth Oansworth, maid of honor, carried a similar bouquet. The bridesmaid wore an ankle
length pink organdie gown. Joyce Kocsis, flower girl, was garbed in similar material. Mr. Gansworth was best man.
The Rev. Emery Kocsls, pastor of the Tuscarora Baptist church, officiated at the single ring ceremony.
Following the ceremony, covers were laid for a wedding supper at a u-shaped table on the church lawn serving 110 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will be at home after August 10 at the Johnson residence. Mt. Hope road. Lewiston. Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Maybee, of Iroquois
