- Carolyn Ruth was born March 31, 1914. She married her high-school sweetheart, Beauford E. Loga. Beauford (Biff) was born March 7, 1914, in Ft Atkinson, Wisconsin. Carolyn and Biff were married May 2, 1933 in Rockford, Illinois, by the Justice of the Peace. They had four children: Elwood Foster, June 14- 1936, in Granton, Wisconsin. Patricia Ann or Pat, December 27, 1940 in Berwyn, Illinois. Pat died May 1968. Maureen Janice, May 1945, in LaCrosse. and Curtis Edward or Curt, May 20, 1947.
Beauford died of colitis (or Oct. 10?) July 7, 1950, at 36 years of age.
With strength, courage, and compassion Carolyn she kept her family together and strong in the Lord.
She met and married the second love of her life, Don Angel. They were married June 18, 1954. Uncle Don would envelop you in a hug that made you feel safe from any danger. That's what he did for Carolyn and her kids. Dean was born April 15, 1956. Carolyn died November 14, 1995. Don died in October 25, 2005

- Services were Saturday in Neillsville for Milo R Mabie, 72, who died Wednesday at St Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born in Granton and married Leona Chase May 30 1937, in Neillsville. He operated a barber shop in Neillsville and was a veteran on World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cherl Holt, Black River Falls, Mary Jean Kroll, Neillsville , Kay Hagen, Big Bear City, Calif; a son Steve, Neillsville ; four sisters, Vesta Schwetter, Powell, Tenn, Irene Clark, Kalama, Wash, Carol Angel, Knoxville, Tenn; Adeline Berger, Wilson, Mich, three brothers, Donovan, Watertown, Ernest "Bud," North Freedom, Theodore, Escanaba, Mich.
Burial was in Neillsville Cemetery.

- Ernest E "Bud" Mabie, age 71, of Leland, died on Friday, June 8, 1990, at Maplewood Nursing Home. He was born in Granton, Wisconsin, on February 25, 1919, the son of the late Albert and Alatha (Davis) Mabie. He was married to Margaret Schuetter on February 11, 1945. Mr Mabie served with the Army during WWII, was a member of Kuoni-Reuter American Legion Post #167, and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Black Hawk. Mr Mabie was retired from Flambeau Products Company in Baraboo in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Ronald (Susan) of Cottage Grove, and Douglas (Linda) of Sauk City; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Michael, and Miles Mabie; two brothers, Donovan (Dorothy) of Watertown and Theodore (Lorraine) of Wilson, Michigan; and four sisters, Vesta Schuetter, and Irene Clark, both of Longview, Washington, Carolyn (Don) Angel of Kelso, Washington, and Adeline (Howard) Berger, of Wilson Michigan. He was preceded in death by a brother Milo
Funeral services will be held at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Black Hawk, on Tuesday, with Pastor Richard O'Neil officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery.

- Carolyn Ruth Angel, 81, of 96 Garden St., Kelso, died Nov 14. 1995, at St John Medical Center.
She was born March 31, 1914 in Granton, Wis., to Albert L. and Altha (Davis) Mabie, and came to the local area 12 years ago from Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs Angel was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Longview, often taking care of children from the church
She and Donald Angel were married June 18, 1954. He survives her at home.
Also surviving are three sons, Elwood Loga of Fayetteville, Ga., Curtis Loga of Kelso and Dean Angel of Walla Walla; three sisters, T. Vesta Schuetter and Irene Clark, both of Longview, and Adeline Berger of Wilson, Mich.; two brothers, Donavan Mabie in Wisconsin and Theodore Mabie of Wilson; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Milo Mabie and Ernest Mabie.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Longview with Pastor David Livermore officiating.
McVicker's Chapel on the Hill is in charge.
