- James Edward Maybee, Jr., 10 months old, died yesterday at Amsterdam City Hospital where he was taken earlier in the day. Born in Amsterdam. August 12, 1945, he was the son of James Edward and Alice May Dingman Maybee. Surviving besides his parents are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Dingman, Nelliston, and Mr. and Mrs. James S. Maybee, Northville, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Houghtaling's funeral home, the Rev. David T. Hill, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Brown Cemetery, Canajoharie.

- James Maybee, Nelliston, and Austin Russell. Canajoharie. were sentenced to 10 days each in the county jail Monday afternoon, after a hearing before Recorder Collins. They were arrested early Saturday morning by Officer Anthony Torsiello after a call from Lark Street, where they were alleged to have attempted to snatch a pocketbook from a woman walking towards her home. - James Maybee, 28. of Nelliston, was arrested on Upper Main Street at 7 o'clock Saturday night by local police on the complaint of a resident of that section.
He was taken before Justice of the Peace K. O. Bartoh, charged with Indecent exposure, under Section 11.40 of the State Penal Law. Maybee pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 90 days in the Onondaga Penitentiary at Jamesvllle. He was takej) there later Saturday night by Police Chief Clinton Smith and Officer William Hergert.
In 1948, Maybee served 10 days in the County Jail for an offense committed in Amsterdam, and was fined $25 last September for a transgression of the law here.

- A man tentatively identified by police as James S. Maybee, 31, who resided in Nelliston until two years ago, was found crushed to death yesterday under tons of steel in a gondola car at Alexandria. Va.
Inspector Russell Hawes of the Alexandria police said the man apparently had hitched a ride in the car and was killed when the cargo shifted.
He is survived by bis wife, the former Alice Dingman of Palatine Bridge.
