  	Juanita Mildred Mabey of Rexford NY passed away on October 22, 2020 after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born on November 23, 1937 to Lyle Edward Wagar & Frances Virginia Mesick in Ghent NY. Juanita lived at Coburg Village in Rexford NY for the past 16 years. A graduate of Chatham High School in 1955. She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church in Ghent, NY. Juanita enjoyed gardening, decorating, antiquing, and shopping. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a long time member of The Kinderhook Garden Club and she was an award winning flower arranger. She is predeceased by her sisters Donna Pendergast (Neal) and Lyla Shanahan (Tom) and brother Peter Wagar. She is survived by her sister Sandy Kratt ( Richard) and 10 Nieces and Nephews. She will be greatly missed by her children Doug Mabey (Nicole), Patricia Weleski (Gary), Steven Mabey (Sharon), Laura Blass (TJ) Grandchildren Steve Mabey (Marissa), Greg Blass (Sarah), Chelsea Davis (Craig), Kyle Mabey, Renee Mudge (Jason), Ryan Blass (Alicia), Lauren Swigart ( DJ), Megan Palko (Luke) 9 great grandchildren and 3 babies on the way.   	The First Reformed Church of Ghent was the .scene on Saturday of the wedding of Miss Juanita M. Wagar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle E. Wagar of Ghent to Mr. Robert Mabey of Chatham. The Rev. John Buyer, pastor, officiated at the candlelight service which was followed by a reception for 100 guests at the VFW Hall in Ghent. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a shell-pink gown of printed organza and carried a bouquet of white Neberdeen mums. She was attended by her sister, Miss Lyla F. Wagar who was attired in a gown of pale green printed nylon. She carried yellow pom poms. Mr. William Davis of Ghent, was best man. The Messrs. Jerry Benevenuto of Ghent and Harry Mesick of Chatham were ushers. The bride graduated from Chatham High school in the class of 1955- and is employed in the office of Dr. Lester Dunning. Mr. Mabey attended Cambridge, Mass. high school and served three years in the army including overseas duty in Germany. He Is associated with the Miller Construction Co., Claverack. After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, the couple will reside at 144 Hudson Avenue, Chatham.
