- Laura G. (Wightman) Mabey, 78, of Manchester, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, in the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester.
Born in Maryland, N.Y., on Sept. 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Lillian Mae (Blenco) Wightman. She was a resident of Manchester since 2002, formerly living in Portsmouth and also Westfield, Mass., for nearly 30 years.
She was employed as an office manager for Fred Gillan and Emery Crete in Portsmouth. She volunteered and contributed to the AIDS Society of Portsmouth.
She is survived by her son, Robert G. Mabey of Derry; one sister, Leah Dante of Cobbleskill, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Velma Moster of Milford, N.Y.

- Miss Laura Wightman, daughter of Mrs. D. B. Wightman of Maryland and P.O. William S. Mabey, radio-gunner, Albany were married Friday, July 13th, at Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Mabey graduated from Milford High school, and for the past year has been cashier in the Grand Union store at Cobleskill.
The bridegroom also graduated from Milford High school and later attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He enlisted in the Navy May 1943 and received the Navy's coveted air crewmen wings upon completion of flight training
