  	Geraldine E. (Mabee) Rassi, age 79, of Metamora passed away at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at her residence. She was born Dec. 4, 1928, in Ely, Minn., to George and Ada (Ojala) Aijala. She married Donald E. Mabee in Peoria, Ill. He passed away in 1969. She then married Roy J. Rassi in Peoria, Ill. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Evelyn Mabee of Metamora, Kathy and Barry Smith of Old Hickory, Tenn., Gene and Penny Mabee of Washington, Ill., Paula and Duane Riddle of Metamora and Doug and Desti Mabee of Oxnard, Calif.; three stepchildren, Bill, Cheryl and Donna; one sister, Laverne Marlot of Ely, Minn.; grandchildren, Shannon and Brian Heywood of Peoria, Valerie and Wayne Trent of Pekin, Melissa Meadows of Peoria, Tom and Beki Gray and Steve and Missy Gray, both of Missouri, Angie and Ken Walker of Peoria, Jessica Mabee of Peoria, Jacob Mabee of Oxnard, Calif., and Michelle, Jackie and Chris Mabee; and several great-grandchildren. Gerri was preceded in death by one son, one grandson and two sisters. Gerri was a traffic manager for Fredman Bros./Glideway in Peoria for 43 years. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private memorial service will be held by her family. Burial of ashes will be in Ely, Minn., at a later date. Memorials can be made to Methodist Hospice.
