- George Albert Mayson, 87, of Idaho Falls, died August 3, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born June 10, 1916 in Pocatello, Idaho to George Mayson, Sr. and Ethyl Littleford Mayson. The family moved to Salt Lake City, UT where he grew up and attended schools. On April 29, 1939, he married his high school sweetheart, Mildred E. Mabey, in Bountiful, Utah. He worked at Salt Lake City Glass & Paint. In 1949, they moved to Idaho Falls where he worked for W.P. Fullers and Falls Paint & Glass. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, walking, and working with stained glass. George loved spending time with his family and his beloved Scottie, Mackie. Surviving family members are: Wife: Mildred Elliott Mayson, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Linda and Skip Williams, Shelley, ID Granddaughter: Tina and Allan Moore, Idaho Falls, ID Grandson: Landry and Sydne Austin, Idaho Falls, ID Granddaughter: Lisa and Alan Rhead, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Frank Mayson, Salt Lake City, UT Sister: Helen Dunmire, Salt Lake City, UT George has 4 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherron Lynn Reimers; a grandson, Daniel David Jensen, son of Jack K. Jensen; and a Great Granddaughter, Sara Vance. Special services are planned by the family. Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
