  	Anthony "Tony" Joseph Mabie, 26, of Springfield died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, in Springfield. He was born Sept. 3, 1982, in Springfield, the son of Tom Mabie and Dawn Farley Whalen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John R. Mabie; uncle, John Mabie; grandfather, Robert Farley; and grandmother, Sandra Duncan. Tony attended Southeast High School and graduated from Chicago Paul Simon Job Corps. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Dawn and Michael Whalen of Springfield; father, Thomas Mabie of Springfield; grandmother, Ann Mabie; grandfather, Karl Duncan of Springfield; stepbrothers, John and Mark Whalen, both of Coffeen; stepsister, Ann Whalen of Coffeen; and brothers, T.J. (wife, Angela) Mabie of Springfield and Austin Mabie of Buffalo. Following cremation at Springfield Crematory, a memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Saturday at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 N. Fifth St., with the Rev. Dennis Hicks officiating.
