- Barbara Ann Maybee, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 10, 2008 after a year long battle with cancer.
She was born July 13th, 1937 in California and was 71 years old.
Barbara will be missed by all, but especially her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, David, her four children, Laurie, Lisa, Jeff and Ken, and her "son" from Ethiopia, Merete.
Barbara's life and her courage in dealing with her cancer is an inspiration to us all. Barbara is survived by her husband David, her four children, seven grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and her dog, Pudge.
Barbara loved sailing with her family, was an avid and accomplished bowler, an expert quilter and woodturner, and loved to knit and crochet. Barb loved to travel to places such as the British Virgin Islands, Alaska, around Cape Horn, France, Las Vegas, and many other destinations.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on August 15, 2008 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 14230 SE Newport Way, Bellevue 98006.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Eastside Habitat for Humanity
